Because of numerous requests for the actual text of the R.D. Sun-Star article and because R.D. can’t quite figure out how to post the picture of the article in a size that can be actually read, the article is now posted below;

Quotable: An online comment by mercedsunstar.com user “Erod1944” on the column by Editor Mike Tharp titled “To all the veterns I have known”.
“Hey-Hey-Hey! You forgot about old USAF SSgt Erod1944 who spent a year at a remote Air Force radar-intellience base in eastern Turkey in the 1960’s with a Russian missle targeting device painted firmly on my forehead 24/7 (methphorically at least). Our dream at that base was to transmit the report of launched Russian ICBM Missiles before our personal USSR midrange missile detonated over the base and turned us into toast. Glad to see the heightened interest in verterans and Veterans Day. Salute!
Retired Dad spends time adding comments to articles on the Sun-Star Newspaper. He painstakingly makes sure that his comments remain within the personality bandwidth of his desired Commenter Personality. (Isn’t writing in the Third Person fun….)
The hard work has paid off as one of the R.D. comments was recently reprinted in the Paper version of the Sun-Star.
R.D. now has the writer’s bug and can be see here furiously attempting to get more “paper time”.
Linda’s Birthday was Celebrated at Nagami. The Shrimp Tempura and Company was Wonderful!
The Grandmother was in heaven this week end as she got to babysit “the boys” at home. Even though she was so tired after the two-day event that she was about to drop she said; “I’d do it again”. And that’s the true nature of the America Pioneers.
Investing after retiring can be stressful. Retired Dad does Jazz Studies while watching the Markets just to take the edge off.
One of the Positive Things about being a Retired Dad is that I no longer have to suffer the Traffic Congestion on the way to the office or the Parking Problems once I got there………..
When a Dad Retires, he has time to back up those billions of files/pictures that he’s been promising to take care of. A full and unusable 500GB external drive serves as motivation.
Little Kyle (Grandkid #2) has chosen a new style of hat - I totally approve of his extraordinarily stylish choice.
